In a highly anticipated email correspondence received by resident physicians in radiology across the United States three days ago, The American Board of Radiology (ABR) has announced rescheduled exam dates for residents who were previously slated to take the exam May/June 2020:

  • The new exam dates are November 5–6 and November 9–10 in Chicago and Tucson.
  • Candidates can expect to receive an emailed invitation for the exam no later than August 24, 2020.

The unprecedented rescheduling follows a wave of conference cancellations and reassignments of radiology residents in some programs to intensive care units and other essential rotations in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
