ABR moves May/June 2020 Core Exam Dates
Move comes in response to COVID-19 pandemic

March 17, 2020 [Breaking]
The May/June 2020 administration of the American Board of Radiology (ABR) Core Exam is now moved to an unspecified date after September 1, according to a memo distributed by the ABR to resident physicians in radiology across the United States earlier today. This widely anticipated move follows widespread travel restrictions affecting radiology resident travel over the next few months related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Notably, there is already an option for taking the Core Exam administered November 5–6, 2020, which is available to all residents eligible for the Core Exam. This administration and other dates are posted at the ABR site here.
Radiology review courses have already begun to respond to COVID-19. The UCSD Radiology Review Course has been moved to webcast. The upcoming March 2020 session of the American Institute of Radiologic Pathology (AIRP) four-week course in Silver Spring has been cancelled. Core Physics Review is moving its upcoming April review in San Diego to the late summer or early fall in coordination with scheduling of the Core Exam and lifting of travel restrictions.
